Application
1) The product is an intermediate of halogenated quinoline anti-amoebic drugs, including quinoline iodoform, chloroiodoquinoline, diiodoquinoline and the like. These drugs exert anti-amoebic action by inhibiting symbiotic bacteria in the intestine, are effective against dysentery of amoeba, and have no effect on intestinal amoeba. In recent years, foreign reports that this type of drug can cause subacute spinal cord optic neuropathy, so the drug has been banned in Japan and the United States, the iodine quinoline caused by the disease is less common than chloroiodoquinoline. 8-Hydroxyquinoline is also an intermediate for dyes and pesticides.
