Tobramycin, alias Anxin, and Topomycin, is a white to off-white hygroscopic powder chemical. The molecular formula is C18H37N5O9, and the molecular weight is 467.51400. Soluble in water, very slightly soluble in ethanol, almost insoluble in chloroform and ether, pH of 10% aqueous solution is 9.0~11.0. Clinically, it is mainly suitable for the treatment of neonatal sepsis, sepsis, central nervous system infection (including meningitis), genitourinary infection, lung infection and other diseases caused by Gram-negative bacilli.
