The preparation methods
[Method 1]
The preparation method is to prepare the finished product by continuous oxidation of o-xylene with air in the presence of cobalt naphthenate catalyst in the oxidation tower under the reaction temperature of 120 ~ 125℃ and pressure of 196 ~ 392kPa.
[Method 2]
It is obtained by catalytic oxidation of o-xylene. Using o-xylene as raw material and cobalt naphthenate as catalyst, o-xylene continuously enters the oxidation tower for air oxidation under the temperature of 120℃ and pressure of 0.245MPa, and the oxidation liquid enters the stripper for concentration, crystallization and centrifuge to get the finished product. The mother liquor was distilled, and the recovery of o-xylene and part of o-methyl benzoic acid was followed by slag discharge. The yield was 74%. It consumes 1300kg of o-xylene (95%) per ton of product.
