Details:

Introduction to the
Triphenyltetrazolium chloride, also known as 2,3, 5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride, tetrazolium chloride, or TTC, TTZ, or TPTZ, is a fat-soluble, light-sensitive complex that can be used to detect seed viability and to detect ischemic infarcts in mammalian tissues. Uses 2,3, 5-triphenyl tetrazolium chloride as a dye in cell biology. Detection mechanism The detection mechanism is that TTC itself can be used as an oxidation-reduction indicator, and dehydrogenases in living cells (especially succinic acid dehydrogenase in mitochondria) can reduce TTC. In the case of seed or plant tissue, the result is that living tissue is stained to varying degrees of red, and dead or lifeless tissue is not stained
. In ischemic infarcts, the tissue is pale due to loss of dehydrogenase activity, whereas normal tissue is dark red. The commonly used TTC staining concentration is 2% (W/V), which can also be adjusted according to the tissue type.

Production methods
1. Synthesis of phenylhydrazone: Phenylhydrazone was obtained by dissolving phenylhydrazone in 95% ethanol and adding benzaldehyde in water bath reflux for 1h.
2. Coupling: Phenylhydrazone was dissolved in pyridine and coupled with aniline diazonium salt.
3, the synthesis of the 2-3-5 - triphenyl four azole nitrogen chloride: will the coupled adding nitrite isoamyl acetate soluble in methanol, then slowly add by hydrochloric acid gas of methanol solution, and the place 3 ~ 4 h, recanalization of hydrochloric acid gas 20 min, water bath heating for a moment, join after methanol steam distilled water, raw decolorizing filtration drying too (this step should be operating in the dark).
4. Refining: The crude products are heated with water, decolorized, filtered, and then reduced pressure concentrated near dry, filtered out crystallization, then washed with a small amount of acetone is the finished product.

use
1. As a sensitive reagent for analysis and chromatographic analysis of reducing sugar;
2. Distinguish ethanol, ketones and simple aldehydes;
3. Determination of dehydrogenase activity;
4. Titrate diborane, pentaborane and decborane, etc.;
5. Pesticide residue analysis
