Application	1. Vidarabine acts against human herpesvirus 1 HSV-1 and HSV-2 and is used to treat human herpesvirus 1 meningitis, as well as herpes zoster and chickenpox in immunosuppressed patients. But it doesn't work on Cytomegalovirus. The monophosphate of this product has the effect of inhibiting the replication of hepatitis B virus.
