Siwin-AM121 is characterized by its high reactivity toward moisture because of its structural

proximity of the nitrogen atom to the silicon atom (alpha-effect). AM121 is very important in

systems that cure very rapidly at room temperature on exposure to (atmospheric) moisture.

This applies particularly to formulations in which alphaorganofunctional terminal groups

function as crosslinkers. The addition of AM121 greatly improves the storage stability. It is

especially suitable for producing highly flexible products with a low modulus of elasticity. This is

because the dialkoxysilyl group functions as a chain extender during curing of the prepolymer,

producing a lower degree of crosslinking.
