1972 and is a prominent member of the nitroimidazole antibiotic class

Tinidazole has obvious killing effect on various common pathogenic anaerobes and trichomoniasis.

Its activity is 2 to 4 times stronger than metronidazole. It is effective against amoebic dysentery and

parenteral amoebic chemicalbook disease. 

The curative effect is equivalent to that of metronidazole, and the side effects are significantly lower

than that of metronidazole. 

Compared with metronidazole, tinidazole has a longer duration of efficacy, generally one to two doses

sufficient.
