Gentamycin is an antibiotic that has therapeutic effects on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Indications

include bone infection, endocarditis, pelvic inflammatory disease, meningitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infection, and

sepsis. This product is not effective in treating gonorrhea or chlamydia infection. The drug has very low oral absorption

and must be administered intravenously, intramuscularly, or externally. Topical formulas can be used for burns, or for

infections around the eyes
