Neohesperidin dihydrochalcone, sometimes abbreviated to neohesperidin DC or simply NHDC, is an artificial sweetener derived from citrus. New hesperidin dihydrogen (NHDC) is a kind of chalcone extracted from natural citrus plants get new hesperidin by hydrogenation and become a new type of sweetener, has high sweetness and good taste, aftertaste long, low heat, non-toxic, good stability, etc, is by far the most compelling new sweetener and bitter blocker, widely used in food industry and feed industry.It is hydrogenated to obtain neohesperidin dihydrocharone, which is more than 1500 chemicalbook-2000 times sweeter than sucrose. It is widely used as a sweetener (flavoring agent) in fruit juice, wine, beverage, pastry and pharmaceutical formulations, especially suitable for diabetics.
