Optical brightener OB is a fluorescent whitening agent of the thiophenediyl benzoxazole class. The product is useful in plastics, man-made fibers, printing inks and coatings, flexible PVC and polyethylene. Dosage: 0.01%~0.05%.

Soluble in alkanes, fats, mineral oils, paraffin and most organic solvents.

Has a spectral maximum absorption of 375nm (in ethanol) and a maximum emission wavelength of 435nm (in ethanol).

Application: 

Good whitening agent for PVC,PS,PE,PP,ABS, PMMA, POM, Thermoplastic, thermoset plastic, Acetate fiber, paint, coating and printing ink, etc.

Polyvinyl chloride whitening: 0.01 ~ 0.05% improved brightness: 0.0001 ~ 0.001% polystyrene 0.0001 ~ 0.05% ABS 0.01 ~ 0.05%  polyene hydrocarbon colorless matrix: 0.0005 ~ 0.001% white matrix: 0.005 ~ 0.05%
