English name: SulfacetamideSodiumEyDrops, which is a white crystalline powder; Smelly, slightly bitter. This product is soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. This product contains sodium sulfa acetate(C8H9N2NaO3S.H2O) should be 90.0 % to 110.0 % of the indicated amount. Colorless or pale yellow clear liquid. Used for eye infections caused by conjunctivitis, keratitis, dacryocystitis, trachoma and other sensitive bacteria.
 

Function of Sulphacetamide Sodium
This product is a short-acting sulfa drug with a wide spectrum of antibacterial effects. Dihydrofolic acid Synthetase, which competes with p-aminobenzoic acid, hinders the metabolism of bacterial folic acid and can not obtain the required purines and nucleic acids, resulting in inhibition of bacterial growth and reproduction. This product has inhibitory effects on most Gram-positive and negative bacteria, especially for hemolytic Streptococcus, pneumococcal, and dysentery Bacillus. It also has good antibacterial effects on Staphylococcus, meningitis, and chlamydia trachomatis. It has a certain effect on fungi.
