As a catalyst, DPPF palladium dichloride can be widely used in organic chemical industry, pharmaceutical chemical industry and liquid crystal material synthesis.

[1,1' -bis (diphenylphosphonyl) ferrocene] palladium dichloride (PdCl2(DPPF)) is mainly used as a catalyst for cross-coupling reactions. Similar to other Pd(II) and Ni(II) complexes, PdCl2(DPPF) can effectively catalyze the cross-coupling reactions between halogenated alkenes, halogenated Chemicalbook aromatics or trifluoromethyl sulfonate aromatics and Grignolet's reagent to form carbon-carbon bonds.
