DodecanedioicAcid, also known as lauric acid. Long chain dihydric acid is developed earlier industrial products. It is mainly used for synthesizing polymer material, fragrant Chemicalbook material, medicine and so on. Among them, as polycondensation monomer and binary amine polycondensation reaction of long carbon chain nylon (also known as polyamide resin) engineering plastics, is one of the most important applications.
The engineering plastic nylon 6-12 can be prepared by condensation of the product with hexamethylenediamine. Diesters produced with octanol, butanol and other alcohols can be used as plasticizers for polyvinyl chloride, cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate. Chemicalbook diesters synthesized with octanol are also used as advanced lubricating oils for jet engines and gas turbines, or base oils for low temperature grease. Dicylic acid can also be used as a modification agent of saturated polyester, metal precipitation agent and spice, special polyurethane raw material.
