2-Ethylimidazole is a versatile intermediate. It is used as an active ingredient and as a base material for epoxy curing. It is used to synthesize Lazaraban, a highly potent, Chemicalbook selective and oral bioavailability factor Xa inhibitor. It can also be used to synthesize 4-aryl-5-cyano-2-aminopyrimidine as an inhibitor of VEGF-R2.

Used for bonding, sealing, coating and laminating of instruments, gauges, various electrical components, chemical machinery, vehicles, and defense industry.
