3. carbomer 940 itself is not nutritious, does not support the growth of bacteria and mold, but it can not prevent bacteria and mold from growing in the presence of nutrients in the gel system. So don't mix too much at a time. Of course, you can also add a little preservative or essential oil as needed.

4. UV has a certain effect on carbomer 940 gel system. Long term ultraviolet irradiation will reduce the viscosity of carbomer resin, so keep it away from light.

5. carbomer 940 has an effective thickening effect. It can produce clear and transparent water or ethanol water gel, and its rheological property is very short. When the concentration of various skin care products is more than 0.8%, it is not suitable. It is recommended that the concentration of various skin care products should be less than 0.8%. It is not suitable to control the final concentration of skin care products.

6. After absorbing moisture in the air, Carbomer will form caking. Although carbomer can still be used after being affected by moisture, its dissolution and dispersion time will be much longer than that of dry powder. At the same time, the dosage will also change to some extent, and the thickening effect will be affected. If it is very slight caking, it can be dispersed by tapping gently, and it can be restored to the original powder. In this case, it will not affect the use and thickening effect.

7. in the preparation of gel, ethanol will be added to increase the corrosion resistance and permeability. However, when the concentration of ethanol is too high, the gel will produce light milky white and reduce the transparency of the gel. For example, disinfectant free gel, ethanol concentration greater than 75% or so, its transparency has been reduced a lot.
