Purpose
Third-generation aromatase inhibitors. For the treatment of postmenopausal patients with advanced breast cancer.
This product is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor, clinically used for the treatment of advanced metastatic breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Identify
(1) Take about 5 mg of this product, put it in a dry test tube, add about 50 mg of malonic acid and 2 ml of acetic anhydride, and heat it in a water bath at 85 to 95 °C for 10 minutes, the solution is brown-red.
(2) Take an appropriate amount of this product and anastrozole reference substance, respectively add about 5ml of acetonitrile to dissolve, respectively dilute with mobile phase to make a solution containing about 10μg per 1ml, and test according to the method under related substances. The retention time of the main peak of the solution should be consistent with the retention time of the main peak of the reference solution.
(3) The infrared absorption spectrum of this product should be consistent with that of the control (Fig. 1151 of "Infrared Spectrum Collection of Drugs").

Pharmacological action
This product is a potent and selective non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor. It can inhibit the conversion of androstenedione generated in the adrenal glands of postmenopausal patients into estrone, thereby significantly reducing the level of plasma estrogen and inhibiting the growth of breast tumors. In addition, this product has no significant effect on the production of adrenal corticosteroids or aldosterone.
