What is Rokitamycin
Roxithromycin, also known as "Roxithromycin", "Propionyl Guitaromycin" or "Propionyl Leukomycin", is a macrolide antibiotic. It is found in a strain of Streptomyces kitasatoensis. Rotamycin is insoluble in water, easily soluble in ethanol, white to slightly yellow powder at room temperature, odorless and bitter in taste. The antibiotic has strong antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, anaerobic bacteria and Mycoplasma.
Function
Macrolide antibiotics have strong anti-Cui activity against Gram-positive bacteria, anaerobic bacteria and Mycoplasma. For various infections caused by sensitive bacteria, such as pneumonia, mycoplasma pneumonia, otitis externa, equineitis, periodontitis, paranasal sinusitis, subcutaneous abscess, hidradenitis, laryngitis, acute bronchitis, tonsillitis boils, Erysipelas, etc.

Pharmacological action
Rotamycin is a 16-membered macrolide antibiotic, which has antibacterial activity against aerobic Gram-positive bacteria, anaerobic bacteria and mycoplasma, and its effect is stronger than that of josamycin. It also has antibacterial effect on inducible macrolide-resistant staphylococci induced by erythromycin and troleandomycin. It has greater antibacterial activity against Bacillus pneumoniae and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
Pharmacokinetics
Oral administration of rotamycin 200mg to healthy adults, tmax is 30min, Cmax is 0.47mg/L, and half-life is 2.11h. In patients with severe hepatic impairment, plasma concentrations were consistently higher. The excretion rate in the urine within 4h is less than 2%, and the continuous administration for 21 days shows that the absorption and excretion patterns do not change, and it is considered that there is no accumulation.
Indications
It is suitable for infections caused by Staphylococcus, Streptococcus (except Streptococcus faecalis), Peptostreptococcus, Bacteroides, Mycoplasma to rotamycin-sensitive bacteria.
