What is Omeprazole
Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat diseases like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), used for gastric and duodenal ulcers, reflux or erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is also effective for gastric and duodenal ulcers that are ineffective with H2 receptor antagonists.
