What is Fosfomycin Sodium？
Fosfomycin Sodium is a white crystalline powder at room temperature, with moisture-attracting property, very soluble in water, and exothermic when dissolved. Phosphomycin sodium can combine with a kind of bacterial cell wall synthetase, impede the first step reaction of bacteria using relevant substances to synthesize cell wall, and thus play a bactericidal role. It has antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, gonococcus, Proteus mirabilis, S. typhi, Serratia marcescens, most of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus faecalis, some indole-positive Aspergillus and some Klebsiella, Enterobacter spp. bacteria.

Application & Function

It is mainly used for the treatment of acute and chronic intestinal diseases caused by Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella and other Gram-negative bacteria in chickens, ducks and pigs.
