Sodium salicylate is a kind of organic matter, chemical formula C7H5O3Na, white scales or powder, odorless, turn pink in exposure to light. Soluble in water, glycerin, insoluble in ether, chloroform, benzene and other organic solvents. It burns when it burns. Mainly used as a painkiller and rheumatic medicine, but also as an organic synthesis. It can be neutralized and crystallized from salicylic acid with base.
