Drug action and use

This product can inhibit the dihydrofolate reductase of Plasmodium, thus interfering with the normal substitution of folic acid by Plasmodium. In addition, it can also inhibit the development of malaria parasites in mosquitoes, so it can block transmission. Clinically used for malaria prophylaxis and telogen antirelapse therapy.

Dosage
