Sulfadiazine
It has broad-spectrum and strong antibacterial activity, and has inhibitory effects on Gram-positive and negative bacteria. It can be used for the treatment of meningococcus, pneumococcus, gonococcus, and lysostreptococcus infections. It can enter the cerebrospinal fluid through the blood-brain barrier. It has been the drug of choice for the treatment of meningococcal meningitis. The antibacterial mechanism is to compete with p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) for bacterial dihydrofolate synthase, resulting in the blocking of folic acid synthesis in bacteria and the frustration of bacterial growth and reproduction. This product is a medium-acting sulfonamide, which is effective against non-enzyme-producing Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Salmonella, Shigella and other Enterobacteriaceae bacteria, gonorrhea Cocci, meningococcus, Haemophilus influenzae have antibacterial activity, and in vitro antibacterial activity against Chlamydia trachomatis, Nocardia stellaris, Plasmodium and Toxoplasma gondii.
The antibacterial activity of this product is the same as that of sulfamethoxazole. However, the resistance of bacteria to this product has increased in recent years, especially Streptococcus, Neisseria and Enterobacteriaceae. Sulfonamides are broad-spectrum bacteriostatic agents. This product is similar in structure to p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), and can compete with PABA to act on dihydrofolate synthase in bacteria, thereby preventing PABA as a raw material from synthesizing folic acid required by bacteria, reducing the metabolic activity of tetrahydrofolate The amount of folic acid, which is necessary for bacteria to synthesize purine, thymidine and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), thus inhibiting bacterial growth and reproduction. This product is a white or slightly yellow tablet; the color gradually becomes darker when exposed to light
Applicable symptoms
Erectile dysfunction and pulmonary hypertension.
