Pharmacological action
Pioglitazone achieves durable glycemic control by directly reducing insulin resistance and improving beta cell function. Pioglitazone is a highly selective and potent peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) agonist. The receptor is a protein found in adipose, skeletal muscle and liver tissue in insulin-sensitive tissues.

Dosage
