Darunavir is a new non-peptide antiretroviral protease inhibitor for AIDS treatment. It was first successfully developed by Tibotec, an Icelandic subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals. Navir, indinavir, nelfinavir, amprenavir and ABT378/r) are the most bioavailable, by blocking the formation of new, mature virions that are released from the surface of infected host cells , to inhibit the protease of the virus. Its IC50 is 0.012-0.08 mmol/L for acutely infected cells and 0.41 mmol/L for chronically infected cells . Oral medication, the recommended dose is 1200 mg once, twice a day. Patients with mild to moderate liver dysfunction and renal dysfunction should reduce the dose. The adverse reactions of darunavir are mainly gastrointestinal reactions, flushing, itching and perioral numbness, depression, mood disorders, taste disorders, etc. This product is not recommended for patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment. Because this component contains sulfonamide group, it is forbidden for those allergic to sulfonamide and to any component in the prescription of this product.
