Gamma(γ)-Aminobutyric acid ( Abbrev. as GABA), a non-protein amino acid, is a bioactive component in the food, feed and pharmaceutical fields.GABA is inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain, it provides a calming effect relieving anxiety, balancing mood, and promoting sleep, thereby contribute to the body's mental and physical homeostasis.It is emerging as a dietary supplement due to its health benefits

Our GABA is obtained by an innovative biosysthesis method, using recombinant Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) species( Lactobacillus hilgardii) to produce the required enzymes (glutamate decarboxylase) which can convert from L-glutamate by decarboxylation into the target product GABA with high efficiency.
