Properties

In addition to its application as an adhesion

Promoter in formulations and primers, Silane OSi HIOSil AMMO functions as a surface modifier in fillers and pigments, where it improves the dispersibility of the filler and the mechanical properties - such as flexural strength, tensile strength and modulus –of the composites. The silane also reduces the filler's sedimentation tendency in the uncured polymer.

Silane OSi HIOSil AMMO also greatly increases water

(vapor) and corrosion resistance.

Silane OSi HIOSil AMMO is an important additive in

As a size ingredient or finish

• Foundry resins:  As an additive to cold curing phenolic and furan resins
• Sealants and adhesives:  As a primer or additive and for chemical modification
• Mineral-filled polymers (composites):

  For pretreatment of fillers and pigments

• Paints and coatings:  

As an additive and primer for improving adhesion to the substrate
