Application:

Trifluridine is an antiviral drug. It has an inhibitory effect on herpes simplex virus and its effect is similar to that of sulfoside. The antiviral mechanism may be inhibition of some DNA enzymes or phosphorylation by thymidine kinase to monophosphate, diphosphate and triphosphate, which can embed in viral DNA and interfere with DNAChemicalbook synthesis and viral replication. Because of its high cytotoxicity and low selectivity, it has not been used for systemic antiviral therapy, but only as a local drug. Trefluridine is mainly used for herpes virus caused conjunctivitis keratitis and other herpetic eye diseases. The curative effect is better than iodoside. It is often used in patients who do not respond to cytarabine therapy.
