Product Introduction:

Ferrous bromide, chemical formula FeBr2. Molecular weight 215.66. Light greenish-yellow hexagonal scaly crystals. It is hygroscopic. Melting point 684℃, relative density 4.63625. Soluble in water, ethanol, ether and acetonitrile, slightly soluble in pyridine and benzene. It is rapidly oxidized in humid air and should be kept sealed. The hexahydrate becomes tetrahydrate when heated above 45℃, and dihydrate when heated above 83 ℃. Hexahydrate is light green to blue-green orthogonal prism, sensitive to light, melting point 27℃, soluble in water, ethanol and ether, easily oxidized in humid air, by excess iron and bromine in water or by iron dissolved in hydrobromic acid after less than 49℃ evaporation (such as evaporation temperature greater than 49℃ to tetrahydrate, greater than 83℃ to dihydrate).
