Fluorescent Brightener OB-2 is a yellow-green powder, odourless. Insoluble in water, soluble in alkanes, aliphatic hydrocarbons, waxes and organic solvents. The fluorescent hue is blue light, the maximum absorption wavelength is 375nm (ethanol).

Application	It is mainly used for the whitening of plastics such as ABS, PS, HIPS, PA, PP, EVA and rigid PVC. The addition of OB-2 to recycled polyester scrap, bottles and slices makes the recycled material appear whiter and the colouration becomes more consistent from one recycled material to another.
