Physical properties of Povidone K15
White or milky powder, and colorless or slight yellow transparent liquid. It can dissolve in water and variety of organic solvents, such as grain alcohol, isopropanol or chloroform, but not in acetone or diethyl ether. Polymers with molecular weight under 30,000 can be excreted by the human kidney. It is generally used in cosmetics, surfactants, pharmaceuticals.
