Properties of Copovidone

White or milky powder, and colorless or slight yellow transparent liquid. The clarity of the aqueous product depends on the proportion of vinylpyrrolidone and vinylacetate. The aqueous solution of VA37 is cloudy, and the others are clear at room temperature. The solution is slight acidic but not electrolytic.

hygroscopicity decreases with increase in the proportion of vinyl acetate in the molecular. This property is widely used as hair sprays and hair-set lotion. If being used with PVP K30, the effect would be enhanced.

Remoistenable adhesive and other adhesives for paper

Viscosity-enhancing agent and protecting colloid for printing ink

Emulsing agent and protecting colloid for plant-protecting chemicals and other

dispersing systems

Binder in coatings and paint.
