Insoluble in water, the solubility in organic solvents such as dichloromethane and isopropyl alcohol is less than 1 g/kg. It can be stored for more than two years under suitable conditions. It is moderately toxic to higher animals, with acute transoral LD50 of 76 ~ 180 mg/kg in rats and acute transcutaneous LD50 of 1000 mg/kg in male rats. No teratogenic, mutagenic and carcinogenic effects were found in experimental animals. The allowable daily intake (ADI) for humans is 0.003 mg/kg. It is highly toxic to aquatic organisms such as fish, moderately toxic to birds, and low toxic to bees.
