(1) Selective adsorption according to the size and shape of molecules, i.e., only those molecules smaller than the pore size of the molecular sieve are adsorbed.
(2) For small polar molecules and unsaturated molecules, it has selective adsorption performance, the greater the polarity and the higher the unsaturation, the stronger its selective adsorption property.
(3) It has strong water absorption. Even at higher temperature, larger air velocity and lower water content, there is still a fairly high water absorption capacity.
(4)We have common specifications 0.5-0.9, 1.5-2.0, and some other special 1.0-1.5, 2.0-2.5.(Unit: mm)

3A (pore size 3 Å): Adsorbs NH3, H2O, (not C2H6), good for drying polar liquids.
4A (pore size 4 Å): Adsorbs H2O, CO2, SO2, H2S, C2H4, C2H6, C3H6, EtOH. Will not adsorb C3H8 and
higher hydrocarbons. Good for drying nonpolar liquids and gases.
5A (pore size 5 Å): Adsorbs normal (linear) hydrocarbons to nC4H10, alcohols to C4H9OH, mercaptans to C4H9SH. Will not adsorbisocompounds or rings greater than C4.
13X (pore size 10 Å): Adsorbs di - n - butylamine (not tri-n-butylamine). Useful for drying .

Application

Detergent additive:
The role of 4A molecular sieve as a detergent additive is mainly to exchange calcium ions in water to produce softened water, remove dirt and prevent dirt redeposition. 4A molecular sieve is the most widely used and the most mature product in the current phosphorous detergent. 4A molecular sieve instead of sodium tripolyphosphate as a washing aid plays an important role in solving environmental pollution. 4A molecular sieve can also be used as a soap molding agent, toothpaste friction agent and so on.
Sewage treatment:
4A molecular sieve can remove NH3-N and Pb, Cu, Zn, Cd in sewage. The sewage from industry, agriculture, civil and aquatic animal husbandry contains am monia nitrogen, which not only endangers the survival of fish, pollutes the internal culture environment, but also promotes the growth of algae, leading to the blockage of rivers and lakes. 4A molecular sieve has been successfully applied in this field because of its high selective exchange for NH.
