Centella Asiatica Extract is also known as CICA, the stem of Centella asiatica is creeping, slender; the leaves are round, kidney-shaped or horseshoe-shaped, with toothed edges, glabrous on both sides, and a little pubescence on the back veins The petiole is glabrous, and the leaf sheath at the bottom is transparent and membranous; Centella asiatica flowers are umbel-shaped, purple or milky white; both sides of the fruit are flat, spherical, and hairy on the surface. The flowering and fruiting period is from April to October.

Madecassoside is one of the key terpenoid found in the Centella Asiatica herb.
