Bacillus pumilus can hydrolyze starch, degrade mannan, xylan, cellulose and so on.

Bacillus pumilus is one of the important PGPR bacteria in soil and plant rhizosphere. It can produce many antibacterial substances such as peptides, proteins, pyrazines and phenols, which have the double effect of preventing disease and promoting growth.

Bacillus pumilus is also a common microorganism in some humic acid raw materials.

It can not only induce disease resistance in plants, but also colonize the root tips of plants and form biofilms to promote the absorption of nutrients by plants.

Bacillus pumilus can survive for more than 15 days in rhizosphere soil of rice seedlings.
