Product Description:
Timicosin is a relatively new macrolide antibiotic for livestock and poultry, which is semi-synthesized from Tylomycin and is chemically named 4A-O- (2, 6-dideoxy-3-C-methyl-l-ribose - pyranyl) -20-deoxy-20 - (3, 5-dimethyl-1-piperidine) - [20 (cis-type: Tylomycin, molecular formula C46H80N2O13, molecular weight 869.15. Timicosin has a similar antibacterial profile to tylosin, but has enhanced effects against both Pasteurella septicus and Pasteurella hemolyticus. Due to its special antibacterial activity and pharmacokinetic characteristics, the drug has been approved for clinical use in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in cattle, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, chickens and other animals. In particular, the treatment of respiratory diseases in livestock, such as actinobacillus pleuropneumonia in livestock, pasteurellosis and mycoplasmosis in chickens, and mastitis in lactating animals.
