Product Description:
Precipitated Barium Sulphate (PBS) is a barium sulphate product with its original particle size, synthesized by controlling the chemical reaction between high-purity barium sulphide and sodium sulphate solution (BaS + Na2SO4 → BaSO4↓ + Na2S). It has outstanding performances including high whiteness, low oil absorption, low wear rate, and low scattering.
It is usually applied for products that require more refined filler, such as coatings, plastics, electronic inks, etc. Precipitated barium sulphate has a French name “blanc fixe” for “permanent white”, a fine powder manufactured and sold as a permanent, stable white pigment.
