Application:
1.  Electrode material
Titanium dioxide is corrosion-resistant and highly conductive (superior to graphite), with a wide electrochemical window (-0.5~+2.25 vs calomel electrode, 1M H2SO4). It can be used in the chlor alkali industry, chlorate manufacturing, electrometallurgy and metal deposition, preparation of dichromate, and organic electromechanical synthesis. It has broad prospects as an electrode and plate material.
2. Environmental protection and sewage treatment:
Due to the high oxygen evolution potential of titanium dioxide electrodes, they are beneficial for anodic oxidation and can be widely used in electrocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants and landfill leachate, electrocatalytic treatment of phenol wastewater, printing and dyeing wastewater treatment, oilfield wastewater treatment, hospital wastewater treatment, as well as electrolysis of seawater for hydrogen production, seawater desalination, electrolysis of water disinfection, and ozone manufacturing.
3. Lead acid batteries:
Titanium dioxide (Ti4O7) can enhance the binding force with PbO2 and maintain pore shape and porosity during charging and discharging, thereby improving the formability and utilization efficiency of positive electrode active materials. Adding a small amount of titanium dioxide (Ti4O7) fiber to automotive flat panel batteries can increase the battery capacity by 15-17%.
The bipolar plate made of titanium dioxide can reduce the weight of the battery, increase the specific energy of the battery, and extend the service life of the battery. As a conductive additive, it can improve the conductivity and current distribution uniformity of the positive electrode material, enhance activity, elevate the battery discharge platform, and improve utilization. As a cathode substitute for graphite, it can reduce capacitance attenuation caused by charge discharge cycles.

4.Cathodic protection and anti-corrosion field:
Can be used for anti-corrosion and cathodic protection of oil storage tanks, ships, docks, and bridges.

5. Pigment field:
Titanium dioxide has high thermal stability, good dispersibility in water and resin, strong coloring power, environmentally friendly and non-toxic, and can be used as a shading agent for coatings, paints, cosmetics, chip photoresists, etc.

6. In the field of electrometallurgy:
Under high current density and high acid conditions, it is superior to graphite and titanium metals in terms of non passivation and non corrosion. It is used as an electrode for zinc electrodeposition, metal recovery, electrolytic manganese oxide, metal foil production, and reuse of etching solution for printed circuit boards.

7. Electroplating field:
Due to the presence of highly corrosive substances such as fluoride ions in the electrolyte, commonly used anodes are prone to deterioration, while titanium dioxide electrodes have high overpotential for oxygen evolution, strong corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and stable electrode size.
