Appearance: White freeze-dried powder. The lysozyme extracted and isolated from egg white is a single peptide chain consisting of 18 types and 129 amino acid residues. It is rich in alkaline amino acids and has 4 pairs of disulfide bonds to maintain enzyme configuration. It is an alkaline protein with lysine at the N-terminus and leucine at the C-terminus. Egg white lysozyme is of type C and is known to be the most heat-resistant enzyme, suitable for pH 5.3-6.4
Purpose: Biochemical research. It is an alkaline enzyme that can hydrolyze polysaccharides in pathogenic bacteria. Mainly by breaking down the β -1,4-glycosidic bond between N-acetyl murate and N-acetylglucosamine in the cell wall, insoluble mucopolysaccharides in the cell wall are broken down into soluble glycopeptides, leading to the rupture of the cell wall and the escape of contents, thereby dissolving bacteria. Lysozyme can also directly bind to negatively charged viral proteins and interact with DNA RNA、 Deocofactor proteins form complex salts, which inactivate the virus. Decompose gram-positive bacteria such as Streptococcus pyogenes, Bacillus subtilis, and Staphylococcus aureus.
