Product Description: Supplied as a purified powder,containing sodium phosphate and cucrose as stablilizer.Oxdizes galactose and some galactose derivatives in both free and polymeric forms.Oxidation at the C6 position.
Appearance: White to off white powder, it is an enzyme composed of a single polypeptide chain containing 639 amino acid groups, with copper atoms as the active center. A type of non blue oxidase, which is an enzyme containing copper that does not appear blue. Unlike blue copper oxidase, the absorption coefficient near 600nm is very small and can be monitored by electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy. Its spectral characteristics are similar to those of inorganic copper coordination compounds
