Description: Yellow or orange powder, odorless, almost tasteless. Soluble in acidic DMF, DMSO, slightly soluble in DMF, acidic or alkaline aqueous low alcohols, methanol. Easily destroyed by light, heat and acid. Almost insoluble in water, chloroform, ether, or ethanol. Add a certain amount of deoxycholate sodium, soluble in water into colloidal solution, but in the case of inorganic salt solution precipitation. There is also a water-soluble amphotericin B
Uses: Biochemical research. It is a polyene antibiotic produced by Streptomyces nodosus M4575. It has strong inhibition and killing effect on a variety of fungal infections.
