Acrylic resin containing active hydroxyl group can be prepared by copolymerization of hydroxypropyl methacrylate with other acrylic monomers. The two-component coating was prepared with melamine formaldehyde resin, diisocyanate, epoxy resin, etc. It is also used as an adhesive for synthetic textiles and as an additive for decontamination lubricants.
Application:
Hydroxypropyl methacrylate can be used as active diluent and crosslinking agent in radiation curing system, and also as resin crosslinking agent, plastic and rubber modifier. It can be used in the production of thermosetting coatings, adhesives, fiber treatment agents and modifiers of synthetic resin copolymers. It can also be used as one of the main cross-linked functional monomers used in acrylic resins.
