AU-BPPCA is a micromolecular polysaccharide polymer produced by microbal fermentation with sugar as its raw materials. Its chemical construction is linked by the β-1,3-D-glucoside solely. The active valence is little in its inner groups.

We made profile plugging experiments in oil wells of Xinjiang Karamay Oilfield by microbial polymers AU-BPPCA. The special property of its high-temperature glue was applied to plugging steam injection wells seal at heavy oil thermal recovery oilfield it has achieved remarkable result.
