Chemical properties: dark red uniform powder. Soluble in water, the aqueous solution is red and orange.

Usage: Neutral Red 2GL is the basic dye for dyeing medium and dark red, which is mainly used for dyeing coarse and worsted wool fabrics and wool tops. It can be used to adjust the color brightness with other neutral dyes or brightening dyes. It is also used to dye silk, nylon, vinylon and directly print on wool, silk and nylon fabrics. It can be used for dyeing wool cotton (or viscose chemical book glue) fabric in the same bath with direct dye in neutral dyeing bath. It can also be used to dye Vickers (or viscose) fabrics.

Production method: taking 2-amino-4-chlorophenol and 1 - (m-sulfonylaminophenyl) - 3-methyl-5-pyrazolone as raw materials, 2-amino-4-chlorophenol was first diazotized, coupled with the latter, then complexed with sodium chromium formate, then filtered and dried to obtain the finished product.
