  • New characterizations of amino acids and γ-glutamyl peptides from acacia georginae seed
  • Add time:07/21/2019         Source:sciencedirect.com

An extract of Acacia georginae seed has yielded several amino compounds not previously recorded as plant constituents. These include an acidic sulphur-containing amino acid, S-(2-hydroxy-2-carboxyethane-thiomethyl)-l-cysteine, and the following γ-glutamyl peptides: γ-glutamylalbizziine, γ-glutamylasparagine, γ-glutamylglutamic acid and probably γ-glutamyldjenkolic acid sulphoxide. γ-Glutamylaspartic acid also was identified as a constituent of the seeds. Several other compounds, isolated in mg amounts, still await full characterization.
