The characteristics of LITHIUM TITANATE (cas 12031-82-2) batteries are investigated in this paper. In order to accelerate the test, the batteries have been stored under normal temperature for a month before storage and charged to 100%SOC. The discharging capacity after storage is less than that of the batteries charged before storage, which means that capacity loss occurs during storage. However, the cycle capacity does not decrease with 1C current and the capacity increases with 0.05C current. It was found that capacity loss didn’t occur but capacity decreases in the first discharge because of self-discharge. In the analysis of increment capacity, the curves have a high degree of coincidence before and after storage, which means voltage platform and internal electrochemical mechanism has little change. Finally, battery electrochemical model has been built, and resistance parameters changes are very small, which further evidences capacity fade is not obvious in electrochemical mechanism during storage.
