Co-oligomerization of propadiene with propyne catalyzed by tetrakis(ligand)nickel(0) complexes is accompanied by homo-oligomerizations of both monomers. Six phosphorus(III) ligands with rather different electronic and steric properties were chosen and the course of the reaction was found to be little dependent on their nature. Very similar behaviour of propadiene and propyne towards a nickel(0) catalytic centre in oligomerization was established, propadiene being the more reactive monomer.
