    Industry 4.0 optimizes the digitalization of automation and data exchange in manufacturing and service innovations. The evolution of technology in today’s manufacturing system needs advanced prediction approaches to inform operation decisions, 
optimize product and service performance and meet customers’ needs. Association rule mining has been widely used across business intelligent applications and smart manufacturing system for decision-making. However, there are few studies on predictive manufacturing systems for product performance management in industry 4.0. This paper proposes association rules mining in R for providing the predictive analytics to improve product quality with production stability and efficiency, thereby enhancing product service satisfaction. In this paper, one of the useful and efficient algorithms of association rules mining named as Apriori algorithm is introduced, the R package - arules is constructed, and a case study is conducted to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method is demonstrated.
