Glycine based peptide nucleic acid (PNA) monomers are useful in the construction of PNA oligomers which are, in general, hydrophobic in nature. To overcome this huddle, serine based peptide nucleic acid (PNA) monomer was synthesized which will a good candidate in terms of increasing hydrophilicity.
