  • Platinum(IV) complexes of vicinal-1,2-diamines and bis(vicinal-1,2-diamines) with an acylamino function. Evidence for a platinum hydroperoxide intermediate upon oxidation
  • Add time:07/31/2019         Source:sciencedirect.com

By oxidation of mononuclear and dinuclear platinum(II) complexes having as ligands N4-acylated 1,2,4-triaminobutane units with H2O2 an intermediate was observed, probably a platinum bound hydroperoxide which is stabilized by hydrogen bonding to the acyl function in the side chain. Such an intermediate could not be isolated in the oxidation of [Cl2PtLLPtCl2] to the platinum(IV) complexes [(HO)2Cl2PtLLPtCl2(OH)2] (LL = 1,2,9,10-tetraaminodecane or 1,2,11,12-tetraaminododecane). The synthesis of several mononuclear and dinuclear diamine tetrachloro platinum(IV) complexes is reported.
